Just like no 2 people are exactly the same, no 2 people with cp are exactly the same. My challenges are not the same as another person with CP, although there can be similarities, each person has their own strength and courage to make a clear distinction with their work in face the challenges.
What is my CP?
Cerebral, means having to do with the brain. Palsy, means weakness or problems with using the muscles.
Cerebral Palsy is actually caused by injury or abnormal development of the brain that occurs while a child’s brain is still developing — before birth, during birth, or immediately after birth.
CP affects body movement and various  muscle functions. An individual diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy will have the condition for their entire life.
I have what’s called Hemiplegia. This type affects ONE SIDE of the body.
I have a right hemiparesis, which means that I have a weakness on my right side which has affected mainly my right hand, my right leg and my speech.
In addition to  a right hemiparesis, I have some elements of spasticity.
Spastic cerebral palsy causes muscles to appear stiff and tight and is the result of damage to the motor cortex.
Cp in a way limits my abilities but not my will!
WHEN THERE’S A WILL THERE’S A WAY!💚
So I continue to climb mountains, ride a bike, go zip lining and repealing!!
